Thai law regulates employer-employee relations with various statutes and government agencies. We offer a Labour and Employment team that is well versed in the complexities of Thailand’s Labour Protection Act, and the practices of the Ministry of Labour and the Thai Labour Court. With regard to organized labour, our experienced team can negotiate with labour unions and advise on the Labour Relations Act.
We have extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and drafting all types of labour and employment contracts and frequently advise on all employment related issues to minimize employers’ risk under Thai labour law. We assist employers on employment relationships and safeguarding legal compliance with regulatory requirements. In the event of labour disputes, we lead negotiations to settle disputes both in and out of court.
Our team routinely advises on individual and collective employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, downsizing and restructuring strategies, individual and group severance arrangements, work rules and regulations, labour relations issues, operational reorganizations and closures as well as international secondments.
We guide clients on workplace employee policies and procedures, employee benefit and compensation plans and employment issues relating to domestic and cross-border reorganizations and foreign employment.
